About The Portrait Artist

I am a mother of two with a third on the way (April 07). I love kids portraiture as well as travel photography. Although a native of the East Coast, I have been a long time resident of San Jose, CA.

I became interested in photography early in life. It was in the northeast that I developed a love and appreciation for photography. I toted my little camera everywhere; always looking for that photo opportunity. While I earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Science, I began my formal study of photography. I also hold Master's degree in Education as well as Businees Administration. I continue to study photography by attending workshops whenever possible. I am a member of Photographic Society of America (PSA), Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Professional Photographers of Santa Clara Valley (PPSCV), Association of Minority Professional Photographers (AMPP), and National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP).

There is nothing like being a parent. You will do anything for your child and when your child smiles, It's the most wonderful sight in the world. That's how I feel about the portraits I have of my children. Nothing means more to me than family memories. That's one of the reasons I became a professional photographer - I want to help other parents like me to hold on to their family memories forever, and never regret not having a special photograph of their child. I pride myself on becoming a family friend of every child I photograph. I've even had some clients invite me to their home for birthday parties.
